When two identical symbols appear on the payline, a special function is randomly triggered: in this case, either the Hold or Step feature is activated.
Hold-Feature: This feature spins the third reel.
Step-Future: The Step feature guarantees a win and can also trigger the Star feature.
Cherry-Step-Feature: If a cherry lands on the payline during the Step feature, the Cherry Step feature is activated. You will then receive a winning amount equal to 20 times your total bet, after which the feature ends.
Star-Feature: The Star feature is activated when 3 stars are visible. Each spin during this feature means a guaranteed win. The activated option is chosen randomly.
Bonus Games and Cherries
As you've already learned, 3 stars on the payline result in a payout of 100 times your bet. However, as soon as three stars appear on the reels, a special feature (the Star feature) is also triggered, regardless of whether the stars are on the payline or not.
Once the Star feature is activated in Super Cherry 1000, Super Cherry 2000 or Super Cherry 5000, one of five bonus games is triggered:

10x:

FRUIT STOP:
The three reels spin once more. One of the nine visible symbols is randomly selected by clicking "Start." Subsequently, the symbol is transformed into a winning combination by the three reels.
CHERRY COLLECT:
This feature guarantees 7, 10, or 15 random steps, during which the reels spin one position further. All cherries that land on the payline are collected and increase the bet multiplier, and thus your winnings.
Cherry Collect and Differences in Super Cherry Variants
The Cherry Collect multiplier steps are: 5x, 10x, 10x, 10x, 100x. Additionally, there are especially high win steps with values ranging from 1000x to 5000x, depending on the version of the game you're playing. In most cases, these values are also specified in the game title.
