Eternal Lady

Description

Eternal Lady is an online slot developed by Playtech, set in a universe inspired by Chinese culture and the mythological figure of the Moon Goddess. The visual design evokes an oriental world filled with red lanterns, lotus flowers, glowing moons and traditional symbols. The game features 5 reels and 50 paylines, with combinations formed by identical symbols appearing on consecutive reels from left to right. The theme combines an elegant aesthetic with various bonus features, including free spins, additional Wilds and the Fire Blaze Respin mode.

The gameplay revolves around three main elements: the Goddess Wild symbol, the Mooncake Scatter symbols and the Moon bonus symbols. The Wild substitutes for paying symbols to help form winning combinations, while at least three Mooncake Scatter symbols trigger a feature that allows players to select a bonus. Depending on the selection, players can access free spins with additional Wilds or the Fire Blaze Respin feature, which uses locked Moon symbols on the grid.

The paytable includes symbols inspired by oriental traditions, such as the white rabbit, lanterns, vases and lotus flowers, alongside classic royal figures. The Goddess symbol acts as the Wild, while the Mooncake serves as the Scatter. Winning combinations are formed along active paylines and must start from the leftmost reel. Scatter symbols can appear in different positions on the grid to trigger the bonus feature.

The Mooncake feature is triggered by at least 3 Scatter symbols and allows players to choose one of the four available Mooncakes, each associated with a bonus outcome. The options can award 5, 8 or 12 free spins with 30, 80 or 180 additional Wilds, respectively, added to the reels, or activate the Fire Blaze Respin feature. The latter is also triggered when at least 6 Moon symbols appear simultaneously and awards three initial respins. Swiss4Win lists an RTP of 96.5% and high volatility.

Graphics and Symbols: Oriental Elegance and Lunar Magic

Design and Atmosphere

Eternal Lady presents a visual universe inspired by Chinese culture, with traditional decorations and references to the Moon that define the slot's identity. The red lanterns, lotus flowers and floral patterns evoke Oriental aesthetics, while the lunar elements introduce a magical component that complements the central goddess figure. The colour palette combines red and gold tones with cooler shades, creating a contrast between the decorative symbols and the luminous elements associated with the bonus features.

The grid with 5 reels and 50 paylines maintains a traditional layout that is easy to recognise during spins. The animations highlight the special symbols and accompany transitions between the base game and the bonus features. Selecting a Mooncake opens a dedicated screen, while the Fire Blaze Respin feature highlights the Moon symbols that remain locked during respins. This alternation between traditional symbols and animated features connects the visual design with the slot's mechanics.

Symbols

The symbolism of Eternal Lady combines figures inspired by Oriental culture with special symbols that determine access to the bonus features. The hierarchy distinguishes between paying symbols, the goddess Wild, and the Mooncake and Moon symbols, each with a specific role in the gameplay.

• Premium symbols: white rabbit, lantern, vase and lotus flower – These icons evoke the Oriental setting and form an important part of the paytable. The white rabbit is among the highest-paying regular symbols.
• Royal symbols – Traditional playing-card figures complete the group of paying symbols and contribute to forming combinations on active paylines.
• Goddess Wild – The female figure represents the Wild symbol and substitutes for paying symbols to help form winning combinations. It does not substitute for Mooncake Scatters or Moon symbols.
• Mooncake Scatter – The traditional pastry depicted as a Scatter symbol activates the Mooncake feature when at least 3 symbols appear. The feature allows players to choose one of four Mooncakes to receive a bonus.
• Moon symbol – The Moon is the bonus symbol associated with the Fire Blaze Respin feature. When at least 6 Moon symbols appear simultaneously, a respin sequence is activated, with prizes or Jackpot Star symbols remaining locked on the grid.

The symbol layout maintains a clear distinction between paying combinations and special features. The goddess Wild contributes to combinations, Mooncake Scatters open the bonus selection, and Moon symbols activate the Fire Blaze Respin feature. This structure connects the Oriental symbolism with the different game modes without overlapping the roles of the main symbols.

Sound Effects and Soundtrack

The sound design complements the Oriental setting and highlights the main stages of the game. Effects associated with combinations and special symbols help distinguish standard spins from the activation of bonus features. Selecting a Mooncake marks the transition to a dedicated phase, while the Fire Blaze Respin mode focuses attention on the locked Moon symbols and subsequent respins. The audio thus completes the slot's atmosphere, reinforcing the contrast between the elegance of the lunar goddess and the animations of the special features.

Features and Bonuses: Mooncake, Additional Wilds and Fire Blaze Respin

Eternal Lady structures its features around three main mechanics: the Mooncake bonus, Free Games with Additional Wilds and the Fire Blaze Respin feature. The first is activated by Scatters and allows players to choose a reward, the second introduces free spins with an increased number of Wilds, while the third uses locked Moon symbols to build a prize grid. The following table summarises the main features.

Mooncake Feature

The Mooncake feature is activated when at least three Mooncake Scatter symbols appear in a spin. Once activated, players can select one of the four Mooncakes offered, each associated with a possible reward. Depending on the selection, players can access Free Games or the Fire Blaze Respin feature. This selection process introduces a phase separate from the base game, in which the bonus outcome depends on the chosen Mooncake.

Mooncake Scatters may also contribute directly to a payout: according to the available paytable information, 3, 4 or 5 Scatters award 2x, 10x or 50x the bet, respectively. The Scatter payout is separate from the reward obtained by selecting the bonus.

Free Games with Additional Wilds

One possible reward from the Mooncake feature is a session of free spins. The available options include 5, 8 or 12 spins, accompanied by the addition of 30, 80 or 180 Wilds to the reels, respectively. These special symbols increase the presence of Wilds during the feature and may help form combinations on the active paylines.

During Free Games, three or more Scatters appearing simultaneously may award additional spins equal to the number of spins initially received. The free spins are played at the same bet as the spin that triggered the feature. However, the bonus mode does not allow the Fire Blaze Respin feature to be activated during Free Games.

Fire Blaze Respin

The Fire Blaze Respin feature is activated when at least 6 Moon symbols appear simultaneously on the grid, or when it is awarded through the Mooncake selection. The Moons involved remain locked in their respective positions and display cash prizes or Jackpot Star symbols. The feature initially awards 3 respins, and each new Moon appearing during the sequence may reset the number of available respins.

The grid gradually fills with Moons and their associated prizes, while symbols that are already locked remain in place. The feature continues according to the respin rules until all available attempts have been used. Its aim is to accumulate bonus symbols and prizes on the grid, with the possibility of obtaining the feature's top prize when the game's specific conditions are met.

Goddess Wild

The goddess figure acts as a Wild and can substitute for regular paying symbols to help complete winning combinations. The symbol can appear on reels two through five, but it does not substitute for Mooncake Scatters or Moon symbols. During Free Games, adding Wilds to the reels is one of the feature's distinctive characteristics, with the quantity varying according to the selected reward.
